REPORTS
  1. President's Report
    1. Eric Woodward reported that the BIA's first iteration of Bloom Market Baby had been completed, and was a great success, with good weather and great turnout.
    2. Eric also reported that he had completed and submitted this year's grant applications to the Township of Langley.
  2. Treasurer's Report
    1. Jim Dyck reported that the current cash balance of the BIA is $68,000, with some pending revenue and expenses still be booked for Bloom Market.

  1. Constitution Amendments. Christine Burdeniuk.
    1. The Board reviewed the current status of the ongoing proposed replacement of the Constitution and Bylaws. The Board agreed to outline the status and the process at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
  2. Bloom Market. Meghan Neufeld & Eric Woodward.
    1. Meghan Neufeld confirmed the planning for the Bloom Market Spring set for May 7-8, was nearly complete, and that Facebook advertising was set to begin soon, and posters would be distributed.

OTHER BUSINESS
  1. Annual General Meeting Date Change.
    1. The Board confirmed that the 2016 Annual General Meeting would be on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
  2. Bloom Market. Meghan Neufeld.
    1. Meghan Neufeld reported on the success of the Bloom Baby Market, and the items to learn from and adjust for the next one, tentatively scheduled for April 1-2, 2017.
    2. Brenda Alberts confirmed that it was a success in her opinion, with much excitement and people within the village area.
  3. Utilities Conversion Update. All.
    1. The Board reviewed again that the utilities conversion project is still ongoing with no word yet from the Township of Langley when it may restart and be completed.
  4. Fort Langley Community Hall Information Booth. Gareth Abreo.
    1. Gareth Abreo reported that the Fort Langley Community Improvement Society would not be able to consider a financial contribution to this, and therefore, for now, the possibility of paid staff would be postponed for possible reconsideration in early 2017.
