REPORTS
  1. President's Report
    1. Eric Woodward commented that the Cranberry Festival had been another great festival with many improvements this year. He thanked the Board for its efforts this past year to improve the Festival. He also thanked Meghan Neufeld for a job well done again this year.
    2. Eric also commented that a few merchants had reported to him that Bloom Market was a great weekend overall, as good or better than Cranberry Festival in terms of sales.
    3. Eric confirmed that the Fort Langley branding exercise is now complete, and that the website and Facebook reflected the new branding.
  2. Treasurer's Report
    1. Jim Dyck reported that the current cash balance is $81,293, and that most of the expenses are now paid for Cranberry Festival and the Christmas Bloom Market.

  1. Banners. Eric Woodward.
    1. Eric Woodward reported that he is arranging for two more designs from Susan Galick for a total of 12 possible designs.
    2. Eric further reconfirmed the need for repairs to existing banner mounts, which are in very poor condition, out of the control of the BIA.

  1. Cranberry Festival Review. Meghan Neufeld.
    1. Meghan Neufeld reported that by all accounts, despite poor weather in the morning, this year's Cranberry Festival was a success. She reported an final operating deficit of approximately $2,500, even with additional costs for cranberry sales and public washrooms.
    2. Jim Dyck mentioned that costs to put on the festival continue to increase, while revenues from vendors does not, and that the difference can only be made up and maintained with increased sponsorship.
  2. Christmas Bloom Market Review. Meghan Neufeld.
    1. Meghan Neufeld confirmed that the BIA's first Christmas Bloom Market went very well, with great feedback from visitors, vendors, and local BIA merchants. She also confirmed that the BIA made a $2,500 donation to the Langley Hospice Society for the great support of their volunteers to the market.
  3. Christmas Advertisement(s). Eric Woodward.
