| The Native Daughters of British Columbia invite you to their annual Mother's Day Tea and choosing of the 2008 May Queen and her Royal Court - Saturday, May 10th, 1:00 pm. Fort Langley Community Hall - More Info VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
The Fort Langley Business Improvement Association (BIA) appreciates and acknowledges volunteers for their devotion and commitment to the community. A Certification of Appreciation will be issued to volunteers recognizing their efforts and indicating the hours of time they contributed.
Positions available:
- Traffic Control - x20 positions
Description: assists with setting up road closures to accommodate
the parade route. Helps detour and divert the flow of traffic and pedestrians. Assists with re-opening the roads after the parade is finished and tearing down the blockade equipment. A pancake breakfast and BBQ lunch is provided.
Location: Glover Rd., Fort Langley and surrounding areas.
Time Commitment: 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Familiarity with the Fort Langley area is helpful
- Event Operations - x6 positions
Description: assists the Event Coordinator with operations at
the Festival in the Park (i.e. set-up, tear-down, and general duties). A BBQ lunch is provided.
Location: The Fort Langley National Historic Site at
23433 Mavis Avenue, Fort Langley.
Time Commitment: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm -OR- 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
