VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

The Fort Langley Business Improvement Association (BIA) appreciates and acknowledges volunteers for their devotion and commitment to the community. A Certification of Appreciation will be issued to volunteers recognizing their efforts and indicating the hours of time they contributed.

Positions available:

  • Event Operations, Community Hall - x20 positions
    • Description: bag cranberries for sale, event flyer distribution, assistance with contests, and set-up / tear-down of tables and chairs.
    • Location: Fort Langley Community Hall
    • Time Commitment: morning shift x10 (8:00 am to 1:00 pm) -OR- afternoon shift x10 (1:00 pm to 6:00 pm).
    • Pancake breakfast or BBQ lunch included.

  • Event Operations, Marketplace - x10 positions
    • Description: greet vendors at check-in and assist with directions, event flyer distribution, crowd control at the BMX Stunt Show (11:00 am and 1:30 pm in the parking lot of the Bedford House), litter control, and set-up / tear-down of tents, tables, and chairs.
    • Location: Royal Ave., Church St., down to Marina Park.
    • Time Commitment: morning shift x2 (8:00 am to 1:00 pm) -OR- afternoon shift x2 (1:00 pm to 6:00 pm) -OR- evening shift x6 (4:00 pm to 7:00 pm).
    • Pancake breakfast or BBQ lunch included.

  • Parking Attendants - x24 positions
    • Description: greet cars at entrance and direct them to the first available row and the first available spot for three overflow parking lots. The afternoon shift will assist latecomers with available parking from random freed up spaces. Attendants at the Lions Hall (88th & Glover) will assist visitors with where to go for shuttle service available from that site only. Event flyer distribution.
    • Location: Brae Island soccer field, the Fort Langley National Historic Site (Orchard Lawn), and Hudson Bay Field behind the Lions Hall at 88th Ave. and Glover.
    • Time Commitment: morning shift x12 (8:00 am to 12:00 pm) -OR- afternoon shift x12 (12:00 pm to 4:00 pm).
    • Pancake breakfast or BBQ lunch included.
