Fort Langley Scarecrow Contest Winners Announced
As a lead up to the annual Cranberry Festival merchants and attractions in Fort Langley put their creativity to use and created a host of scarecrows to entertain visitors and promote their businesses.
A tradition that was revived this year after a few years absence, the response to the call for participation was diverse and made the judging a challenge!
Participating businesses/attractions included:

BC Farm Museum
Beatniks Bistro
Bumble Bee Store
Cherry Bomb Salon
DD Booski Clothing Co
Fort Langley Bakery
Fort Langley Library
Fort Langley National Historic Site
Shine Jewels
Village Coffee & Tea Co.

Entries were judged in three categoriesand the winners for this year area.....

Most original – Beatniks Bistro
Most humorous – Fort Langley Library
Most creative – Fort Langley Bakery

With the support for this year’s contest, organizers hope that next year even more businesses will participate and perhaps local residents will take up the challenge and enter as well.
